# going up on formula amount

been awhile since i had a baby. my dd is 5 and i now i have a 2 week old baby boy. he is eating 2oz every 2hrs. he is on formula and formula only. pedi. told me if i felt he was ready for 2 and 1/2 oz to move him up.how do u measure that though. because 2oz is 2oz water and 1 scoop of formula. 4oz would be 2 scoops so what do u do for 2 and 1/2 and 3 ounces?

• Either use a half scoop, or make a large amount at once to keep in fridge, and pour appropriate amount into bottles.

• I used to make six ounce bottles and save half in the fridge and then give the other half to my son. Hope that helps!

• I would just move to 3. and thats 1 1/2 scoops. I wouldnt bother with 2.5. If you really want to though that would be 1 1/4 scoops. Good luck :)
