How to get stains out of my carpet?

Other then renting a steam cleaner how can I get stains out of my carpet and sofa? I've tried peroxide and stuff but they're still there.

  • Go to Home Depot down their ailse of cleaners and buy a bottle of a spot cleaner called FOLEX. It works wonders and we use it with our carpet cleaning business.

  • seriously....and your going to think i'm crazy....but dry dish washing soap and warm/hot water mixed together and then scrubbed with a washcloth or a brush. Then rub that with a clean washcloth and let it dry. I've even tried it...and it works. But be careful, because if your carpet is just overall dirty....then it might make the spot that you cleaned LIGHTER than the rest of the carpet.

  • Actually, I have found that Windex works wonders for spot cleaning.

  • I swear by Spot Shot for carpets. I can't really suggest anything for upholstery, though...
