  • Plastic keys - they love putting these in their mouths.

Also - don't forget books - especially books for babies that are well constructed. It's a good time to get everyone in the habit of reading. It's never too early to start. Babies love being in mommy or daddy's lap and hearing the rythmns of nursery ryhmes.

    Have fun.

  • Touch and Feel books are great at this age. Lots of textures. Things that make noise and light up are also great. I LOVE my VTECH roll and crawl lights up, sings songs and automatically rolls around when baby touches it - it is great for encouraging crawling/tummy time, etc. Stacking/Nesting cups are really good...particularly as they get a little older. They can stack them, they can nest them, they can put things inside, you can hide things under them. You can even get the really simple cheap plastic ones with little holes in the bottom which are also great in the bath tub! Squeaky toys are good too.

  • Anything that makes noise, my son loved those books that sound like paper when you scrunch them. Also toy keys. Anything that makes noise or sings.

  • I was going to say rattles, anything her hands can hold that's safe for her.

  • Anything that she can hold, that makes noise like crinkly fabric or a rattle. Just the simple links that are used to hold other toys are good. If she can manipulate it - it's a good toy. just make sure she can't swallow anything small from it.
