  • I think that is normal, it wil probably take another week or so for his belly button to heal.

  • If it was just a little, no, I think that's common. Both of my kids' did too. If it's a lot, like pouring or continuously oozing, then maybe.

  • What you need to worry about is pain, tenderness, red color or a foul odor.

  • Its normal. It happened to my dd.

  • Is it clear, or is it red/green/yellow? Small amounts of fluid that are yellowish or clear can be perfectly normal. If it smells, is green, if the baby becomes upset when you clean the area, or if the area is red.. It can be a problem. I'd touch base with your pediatrician just to mention it.

  • It is totally normal like everyone said. I would get worried unless it turns red or smells badly.

  • I would keep up the alchohol treatment and if it doesnt completely heal in about a week or gets worse i would consult my pediatritian

  • I would take him just in case. Normally I would say it's fine however a guy I went to high school with just lost his newborn son after he got an infection in his umbilical cord.
Most likely it is fine, but better safe than sorry.
