Why is it ok....

why is it ok for a heavy set, big breasted woman to wear low cut tops but a Physically fit person is termed "sluty" if she wears the same thing? I see this happen all the time. There are large ladies at my work that show allot of there size D tatas but if me or one of the other skinny girls wear the same thing we get nasty looks and comments. It makes no sence to me so maybe someone can fill me in on why there is such a double standard.

  • I had this same problem at my old job. Me and this other super skinny chick would get in trouble for wearing tank tops but this heavy girl could wear deep v-necks and mini skirts and all sorts of disgusting stuff. I think people are afraid to say something to them because of how big they are. It is hard to tell them something is inappropriate without also pointing out how heavy they are. Or so it would seem.

  • Maybe because some of society does not see a heavy set woman as a sex object and a physically fit person as one? Good question.

  • I think it's just as slutty if a heavy girl shows her boobs. It's never OK in the workplace no matter your weight.

  • jealousy?

I have no boobs, so anytime I can create some cleavage, I'm showing it! LOL

  • I don't think any boobs should be exposed in the work place. So if there's a dbl standard (no pun intended) it needs to be dealt with. I'd mention it, if it is happening.

  • I agree with you to a point but, I think something you need to think about is when a woman has large breasts it is harder to "hide" them. I mean I swear I could be wearing a plain old t-shirt and still have cleavage LOL!!!
I don't think low cut shirts are "slutty" on anyone really..I think it depends on the WHOLE image ya know?
