Expired Milk?

I have gallon of milk in the fridge that hasn't been opened but expired the 20th is it still any good? I just opened it but I can't smell cause I have a cold but I don't think it looked chunky or anything.

  • I'm the odd one out, we have a seperate "milk fridge" that we keep extra cold, and we use expired milk all the time. It if tastes funny it gets tossed, but it rarely does. We all had cereal this morning with milk that expired the 20th and it was fine, we'll use it again tomorrow morning and open another that also expired the 20th.

  • I wouldn't risk it. Sour milk is
NASTY lol. Oh you could always take a bath with it. Milk is awsome for the skin, but thats only if it's not bad

  • I wouldn't drink. I wouldn't give it to my kids either. Have your husband taste it!

  • I agree--toss it

You can freeze Milk. If it is coming up to the expiration date and you have not opened it, just put it in the freezer (if you have room). When I lived in the stix, I would buy a few gallons at a time and just throw the ones we weren't using in my chest freezer then take it out when we the current gallon was running low.
