  • to vote up an answer..... like if you really like someone's answer, or the minus is if you really think someone is wrong i suppose

  • Voting that answer up or down... Although we can't vote down yet. It's just a simple way to say you agree or disagree with the answer someone else posted.

  • The + will bump an answer up. The - will bump it down (but that feature is earned).

  • Anyone know when we can vote someone negative? Do you have to reach a certain level?

Answer by LovingSAHMommy at 4:11 PM on Jun. 24, 2010

  • The "+" sign is a Vote Up. Depending on your level, you get a certain amount of Votes Up each day. You can Vote Up answers that you find helpful, think do a good job answering the question, or enjoy reading.

The "-" sign is a Vote Down, only members that have finished level 10 will be able to Vote Down answers. Each member with the ability to Vote Down will only be given a few Votes Down each day. Members do not receive Credits when they Vote Down an answer but do receive 1 Credit when they Vote Up an answer. Votes Down should be used sparingly, like when someone is being rude (especially if it is an anon post), or says something that is objectively wrong (the capital of Paris is Brazil).
