  • Well, this one just might be out of my hands,my son has autism,so socially well adjusted might be something we won't achieve.I'll take smart anyday. You can fake socially, you can't fake smart!

  • a smart child can learn to be socially well adjusted. A socially well adjusted child can't always learn to be smart. lol.

  • I guess I chose socially well adjusted because I know 4 individuals who can not keep a job, even though they are brillant, because they lack social skills. One of those individuals have 4 different degrees. He keeps going back to school to get another degree thining "Now, I have what people want" and they still don't want him. :(

  • I guess being a person with Mental illness, I would choose for my son to never have to deal with that if I could so I suppose socially well adjusted if those were my only 2 options.

  • If I couldn't have both, I'd say socially well adjusted. My oldest is very awkward in social settings and it really bothers him. He wasn't interested in communication until he was about 3 and so his social skills are WAY behind his peers. Often times, he follows his younger sister around in social settings because she's a social butterfly. Also, I've learned that if your open to things going on around you, you tend to pick up a lot of random/useful knowledge very easily.

  • my oldest is a very smart, my youngest is a social butterfly. they both have good and bad. I enjoy seeing what is different between the 2 and watching them grow. They have the best of me!
