Healthy Snacks

What kinds of snacks do you give your little ones when they want to snack all day. My 2 year old is going through a faze where she wont eat her 3 main meals but wants to snack here and there through out the day.

  • raisins, blueberries, a cracker here and there, peaches, mandarin oranges. i'm trying to get her onto celery but it's slow going. she will also devour any amount of black beans i offer.

  • Yougart, Veggies like carrots, Friutis, Apples, grapes, oranage, water melon etc. Crackers. I buy the whole grain ritz. Graham crackers really arent bad either. A string cheese. u can make your own popsicles too. They have sugar but if you make ur own you can choose to use sugar free or a substitue.

  • All of the above and then i also buy sugar free apple butter and my kids love it. I make a fruit salad and top it with mini marshmellows or i make some popcorn.

  • I try to avoid letting my children ditch their meals in favor for snacks. Not to say they can't have a snack. Just saying that i put a limit on it.
    But i give aunts on a log, or what we call aunts in the mud which is just peanut butter with aunts (raisins sprinkled on top). yogurt, cheese sticks. fruit. avocado.

  • Fruit and veggies. I would also add crackers and cheese or feed leftovers from the previous meal.
