Why do most babies look like their dad's the first year of life?

  • i saw a documentary years ago that said, for the survival of the species, this is an adaptation to comfort fathers and reassure them that the child is theirs. though we have outgrown the need for this assurance, i thought it was an interesting genetic study. if i can find a link to the study i'll post it.

  • Not sure, lol. My DD looked like her dad when she was born (thankfully, I was a very ugly baby, lol).
