  • Tornados are common in MN , in the midwest ,where I live and they are horrible, frightening, destructive. Last week there were some here that flattened several blocks of a town in MN was a disaster. So...I feel sympathy and know what they are going through in Connecticut. So sorry to hear about that! I hope nobody was injured. ANd that the property damage was not too bad.

  • I was more worried about the one here in Indiana last nigh. Got my lights and phone back on this afternoon. Other side of town without lights yet, 24 hours later.

  • We had some pretty bad storms in Ohio last night, and there was an earthquake in Canada, felt as far away as 600 miles. Lots of weird weather stuff going on lately, isn't there? As for Connecticut, I hadn't heard a thing about it, Hope everyone is OK there!

  • Oh and so far they're saying that they're waiting for an official determination as to whether it was an actual tornado or not. But tornado warning/watches aren't unheard of here. Happens a few times a year. Not many touch down though.
