Why does it hurt when I swollow?

It doesn't feel like a sore throat, it just hurts whenever I swollow. And eating is difficult because it hurts even more. I was thinking this could be a sign of strep throat, but I don't have a fever. I was going to ask my doctor when I saw him on Wednseday if it continues, but I was wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem. This is the first for me and it's driving me mad!

  • sounds like you are beginning to get either a sore throat or strep throat. I would just watch it and drink something to soothe your throat before it gets worse. I know when i start to get sick it usually hurts when i swallow at first.
