has anyone made your own laundry detergent for a

high efficiency washing machine?

  • I don't have an HE machine, but I heard you can use the same homemade laundry detergent as you use in the old machines, you just use less soap. So where I use 1 cup of homemade, you might only need 1/4 cup for an HE machine.

  • Yes. I use the same laundry detergent for my HE machine, as I did for my old washer. http://www.thefamilyhomestead.com/laundrysoap.htm For HE machines you need to use detergents that are low sudsing, and this one is!

  • I do.....but I'm not sure it is "allowed" lol!!!! I have always heard that HE just means not real soapy and mine isn't so I hope it is okay :)
