2 Bumps

What type of light bulbs are your favorite?

I'm talking about everyday lighting and not the brands.

I still prefer the regular light bulbs that put out a soft, natural light.
I don't like the lighting from the energy saving bulbs...they hurt my eyes and I have tried every type they have.

What is your preference?

  • I prefer and I only use the regular bulbs. I am in the process of hoarding them right now. LOL I really hate the light from those mercury filled so called green bulbs.

  • I really like the energy savers - you can buy ones with lower wattage that will not hurt your eyes and you will save money - they last so long!

  • i like the light from the old lightbulbs. i never thought of stocking up on them. sounds good to me!
have you ever broken one of those cfl's? you have to get everyone out of the house, turn off the hvac system, call your garbage company and ask how to dispose of the mess, throw away the broom you use to clean it up with...it is really insane!

  • We use CFLs or LEDs because they save energy. However, I took the CFLs out of the bathroom because they make me look jaundice and it makes it difficult to put on make-up...lol

  • I use CFLs or LEDs.

Clean up for a broken CFL is the same as for a broken regular fluorescent bulb.
