Just recently did a survey of random people at a mall.....

asked if they approved or disaproved of same sex marriage. Those who said they didn't approve were very apologetic and sorry they felt that way, why is that?

  • Probably because they know it's wrong to stand in the way of other people's rights for no reason other than their own hangups.

  • I don't know. Many people I know who feel the same act like that too.
Maybe they feel like they are hurting someone's feelings by saying they don't approve.

  • I have no clue why apologize for what you believe in?

  • Maybe they felt bad for having a belief that hinders and hurts some people. They have every right to their belief. As much as I think someone has the right to be fine with same sex marriage, I also think it's fine for people to be against it. Do they have a right to bash and discriminate? No, but they do have a right to their opinion, and shouldn't be bashed either. They may not be okay with same sex marriage, but that doesn't necessarily make them a bad person. A lot of religions are against it, and they may be religious and have been taught that it's wrong. Personally, I feel that same sex marriage SHOULD be allowed, but I know that not everyone feels the same way.
