What do you think of girls getting their cartiledge pierced?

My 14 year old daughter has been bugging me about getting hers done. I'm tempted to bring her and have it done, but my honest opinion is that it looks trashy.

  • I like it..and the good thing about a piercing is that she can take it out and it closes unlike a tattoo thats there forever

  • you mean the cartilage in her upper ear? I think it's cute ...but that's coming from a 23 year old with 3 piercings in her upper ear.

  • I didn't do it until I was 19. I had if for a few years and then grew out of it.
IMO - 14 is way too young.

  • It's a young person thing. I wouldn't get it. Teens and young 20's look good in it.

  • To each his/her own. I don't really think anything about other people's piercings, regardless of their age.
If you don't mind signing for it, then let her have it. She's the one who has to deal with the stares of people who don't approve and she's the one who will have another hole in her head. :-)
