ok so im cooking fish in the oven....

my dad just caught them today they are gutted and cleaned out i put lemon butter and garlic in them how long do i cook them for ? and at what temp?

  • what kind of fish? the type and size are a factor

  • You didn't mention the type or weight of the fish and those are important factors in cooking time. I would say 350 degrees and keep checking it. Since fish tends to dry out easily, you really would do better to broil it until the fish is cooked inside.

  • 350 til it flakes when you press it with your finger or stick a fork in it.

  • No matter what kind of fish, it doesn't take long to bake it. I would say check it after 10 or 15 minutes. And I always add a little water to the pan so it doesn't dry out.

  • the thinner the fillets the less time it will require to cook through.
