Do perfect strangers sometimes insult/judge your kids?

Example-My son is not walking fully yet. He is 15 months...tonight in a shop, the woman behind the till asked if he was walking yet, once she heard his age she yelped " oh! You need to take him to a specialist, he should be walking by now for sure there must be something wrong in his brain." I was shocked!

  • Yes my son is big for his age and when he was 6 months and looked like maybe 10-12 months he had a bottle at the grocery store and this lady was like"why don't he have a sippie" I just laughed at her and told her he was only 6 months she was surprised though. Hope fully she thinks before she says something that is NONE of her business anyways. That bothers me as much as people who compliment your kid and then ask you if they are a boy or girl WTF.....

  • Yeah, but mine are grown, so that's their problems! (Just kidding). I never had that happen before. Probably because I don't really care what other people think. Actually, I don't really even acknowledge people when I am out. That's just me though. I live in a bubble.

  • Someone asked me if my kids could BE any louder yesterday at the grocery store. I was like yeah... this isn't bad at all... he shook his head.

I said, I hope someone shoots me if I get mean when I get old.

  • Last week were at the park and I bought my son, my little brother an myself an icecream from the icecream truck. Mind you it was about 90 degrees outside. He had icrcream running down his little arms and into his sandals. Half way through the spongebob Squarepants icecream nightmare this woman walks up to me and says "He is filthy! Do you want some wipes?" It would have been different if I didn't have the diaper bag on the picknik table and if he was on the playground! But, like I said he was only halfway through the mess and why clean him off twice?!?!? I wanted to slap her!
Also, my son signs. He can talk and does but in public he would rather sign for some reason. And almost evertime we go out someone will ask "Is he deaf?". I used to get mad especially when they sounded descusted but know I just sign " Use A.S.L." It cracks me up when they walk away!
