Anyone else job searching?

I was just wondering if anyone was running into the same problems as me. I have a bachelors degree in psychology, but none of my working experience has anything to do with human/social services. I don't really need to get a job becaues my hubby makes enough and we are TTC so I feel like getting a job is pointless .... so I'm not trying too hard to find one lol. ANYWAY anyone else have either of these problems or both?

  • I do career and job search coaching. I am always happy to help CafeMoms (and Dads) with resumes, coverletters, job search strategy, interview prep, etc. (I never charge CafeMoms for my services).

There are great tips and resources posted in teh CafeMom Job Hunting Moms group:

  • So looking out side your area is out of the questions then(other cities or states)?

  • yes, but I'm also on a waiting list to get into my program at school. It's a two year wait and I have another year. Both job hunting and waiting for school have been extremely frustrating.

  • No, I def can't look out of state or in any other cities. I live in a small city, but there are two cities within an hour. There are a few jobs, however I have no experience in the field so I'm not a very good candidate. If we could move I'm sure I could find a job, but my hubby has a pretty good job and we own a beautiful home AND I really love it here!
