How often do you cut yourself when shaving your legs?

I usually do it about once each time. Last night, my leg slipped and the side of my knee now has a 4 inch long spot where skin got shaved off. It still hurts!

  • Fairly rarely actually. I mean I did a lot when I was first starting and I do when I try to rush but I try not to rush and I make sure I use razors with replaceable blades. I don't use disposable razors. I find the ones where you replace the blades do a better job than disposable razors.

  • It's been about 10 years since the last time honestly... Shave in the shower and use a good sharp razor... I shave areas I can't even see and I've never even nicked them.

  • Very rarely! Maybe once every 3 months. However, when I DO cut myself, I do it multiple times. I'll go months without a nick, and then one day I'll exit the shower with 5 cuts.

I blame the obviously defective razor, lol.

  • Ouch OP!!! I hope it heals quickly and doesn't cause you too much pain. Next time you go to shave, place your other hand/finger over the spot so you don't accidentally shave over it before it has completely healed.

I get a nick every now and then, but it's either because I'm rushing or I need to change my blade.

  • ouch that sounds painful! i do it every other time but its usually just a small dot. i dont change my razor near as often as i should so its the curse of using a dull razor. ive found that when i buy cheapy or disposable razors i knick myself more often, so no more of those for me!
