  • This happens at all of the G8/G20 summits. I don't know why this year is more newsworthy than others. Last year someone was killed in London during a G20 protest. In 2001, there was an Italian protestor killed at the G8 summit. These summits involve representation from all over the world. It's not just Canadians or Americans out there protesting.

  • I thought it was the G8 this go-around, the G20 is later. Or do I have it backwards?

  • Maybe if Obama were to dangle his shiny new Peace Prize medal at the "peaceful" rioters they would become hypnotized and cease their tumultuous ways?!?! LOL :o)

  • You mean the riots?

"Black-clad demonstrators broke off from a crowd of peaceful protesters at the World Summit, torching a police cruiser in the financial district and smashing windows with baseball bats and hammers."

  • I think they are back to back. The G8 was in Ontario and the G20 is in Toronto.
