  • This is what we use for most cleaning (initially used as part of my daughter's 6th grade science fair project). It is cheap (my favorite) and non toxic.
    ¼ cup white vinegar
    ¾ cup warm tap water
    1 tablespoon baking soda
10 drops of tea tree oil (antibacterial, antifungal, etc.)
2 drops oil of lavender essential oil (antiseptic and smells nice

  • green works, and vinegar and baking soda. I really wish i could get seventh generation locally, that would make me so happy. Sadly i live in a rural area that hasnt caught up to the rest of the world yet.

  • I use different things, mostly all natural. For normal cleaning, I use things like lemon juice, vinegar, and baking soda. For laundry, I use All Free and Clear laundry detergent and Seventh Generation Fabric softener. Vinegar is a natural disinfectant, so it can be used for cleaning most anything. Baking soda and vinegar makes a great scrubbing paste, and lemon juice is like a natural bleach, I use it to get stains off countertops and everything. I do occasionally use a Magic Eraser on the walls when nothing else will do.
