How many mothers out there have a child with SVT?

My son was diagnosed at 11 days old. He was treated with meds and is fine now 4 years later. He has minor SVT and has to be checked yearly. In two weeks we are going to get an echo done (he hasn't had one since 11 days old. And they are putting a 24 hour halter on him.

  • Ki was born with WPW, which is a form of SVT. She had the halter monitor on her too and was also on meds from two days old until just after she turned 5 when we had the catheter ablation procedure done.
What meds did they put your son on? Ki was on propophenone (yeah, spelled wrong) for the first year then Atenolol for the last 4.

  • they had Anthony on Propanolol. He was weaned off of it thankfully when he turned one. But he still has attacks. We have to be careful on activity levels and calm him down when he gets too active.
