Okay so I have a question... As a teenager I never had acne and only minor minor minor blackheads (only on my nose a little) anyhow then at 18 I started Birth control pills and I had almost zero facial blemishes. Ever since I quit taking BC to have children (i have never went back on the pill but have tried other BC methods) I have had continuous break out of one form or another... Not really acne but just lots of pimples and blackheads. Would taking birth control pills again clear up my skin ( I am 25 almost 26 now) could this be the factor or no?

  • Wow I don't know! But I wouldn't use them just for that reason. Hormone levels sure can cause them. They can get worse at 40!! You're thinking 40. I want them gone forever now!! Some things just aren't fair! Trust me I know!! But maybe if you can see a dermatologist. To get the facts and do away with the myths! Oh to have them gone forever. Good luck I hope you find what works best for you! Also like anything else, they claim stress can cause them too!

  • Facials can help clear these things up, and watching what you apply to your face. A dermatologist or an esthetician can help you in this area.

  • Try AVON's Clearskin line. I know people that have gone to dermatologists with no luck, but tried this and it has done wonders for their skin. You can check it out at
