How did you teach your kids to play on a slip n slide. My kids got one today and i tried teaching them but they liked me pushing their feet while they layed down better.

  • Just let them play around with it - they will figure it out :o) Make sure to pick it up when you are done though or it will kill your grass!!

  • Teach them the same way all the kids I grew up with learned - let them watch the commercial:

  • I'm not sure, but I'd like to know. I wanted to get the $5 Toy Story one at Walmart, but my kids are almost 4 and 20 months. I don't think they would get it.

  • Just run and dive onto it like you're sliding into home for baseball. I don't know besides showing them.

  • My daughter doesn't have one, we don't have outside water hookup, but I had one as a kid. My dad threw himself down it to show us how to do it then we just did it.
My brother was a little afraid to throw himself down on the ground, but after seeing how much fun my dad and I had, he just did it.

  • Show them yourself. First year we used one (son was 2) i would have to make him lay down, drag is arms and let him go. He loved it, and i got a workout. Now he gets it.. super cute.

  • Thanks OP, I'm thinking of getting it next time I'm in there. It's my oldest's birthday next month, so I'll likely get it for her.
