How are you keeping cool as the temperatures soar?

  • Close the blinds during the day so the sun won't shine in and heat the house
    Don't cook on the stove or in the oven; use crockpot and grill a LOT or else eat cold foods.
    Plenty of time by our pool
    Drink plenty of icy cold tea or water
    Run the furnace fan to pull up cool air from our basement
    Run the A/C only when all else has failed.

  • Keeping the air turned down low, I know it hasn't been above 65 in weeks. I really hate to see what my electric bill for this month is going to be.

  • Not well. I have started to have some minor hot flashes as well. So, it's not a pretty picture! I have my air at about 75 degrees, and the fans on. I don't venture out unless I have to. It's still 90 degrees here right now!

  • AC.. dipping feet into pool, things like that..

    I guess come wednesday I'm going to be finding a way to stay warm though with temps in the high of maybe 60... only in NY..
