My 15 month old wont eat breakfast

I'm having a problem with my son eating breakfast. I have tried waiting an hour after he wakes up, cause I understand that some people just arent hungry as soon as the roll out of bed. But I have tried almost every breakfast thing I can think of. Toaster strudeals with eggs and sausage in them, cereal with and without milk, scrambled eggs, pancakes, waffles, french toast, regular toast with fruit. He just wont eat. Any ideas would be helpful. I'm wondering if anyone knows or has been in this situation and what they did about it. Any ideas or advice would be much appreciated.

  • my daughter wants to eat very first thing when she wakes up. I usually have a hard time getting her to eat dinner. I just remember that she will eat when she is hungry.

  • Maybe start him off with something to drink in the morning. Then try some fresh fruit or maybe some yogurt?

  • typically I give my dd a sippy to start off with and a fruit (normally banana) to snack on. After an hour or so, then I will make breakfast. (neither of us likes breakfast when we first wake up).

  • He's dehydrated first thing in the morning. Start him out with a nice big glass of water...(splash some juice in it if you like,) and set some thing down to eat a bit later.

    Don't plead, don't beg.

Trust me, he won't let himself starve.

  • I wouldn't worry about it... as long as he's eating well for his other meals and he doesn't get junk food before lunch then just let him be.

  • My son is like that most mornings too. I ususally just give him a banna and a glass of milk or juice. And just wait til he's hungry again.
