Have you ever had Fifth's Disease?

Not your kids, YOU.

I'm wondering what does it look like and feel like.
How long did it last?
Did you have to go on any medication for it?

  • My kids had at the end of this years school year and then I got strep throat which completely sucked!! I was in so much pain. When I started to feel better I got a rash all over me. It was a little itchy like a heat rash. I wonder if I had 2 things. The Dr. gave me the Z-pack. My kids did not get anything for it.

It's a viral disease. Usually referred to as the 'slapped cheek' disease because kids look like they have a slapped cheek with the rash.It can then spread. Other signs are fever, cold-like symptoms. Once you get the rash, you aren't contagious anymore.

Kids recover pretty quickly, but I've heard that is worse for Adults, and I think I have it. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had it.
