  • I started at 6 months. They kind of melt in there mouth. But if your not sure give her a half of one just to see how she does. Thats what I did :)

  • That is the age I started my oldest on cheerios. My last one who is almost 11 months started at 10 months.

  • Once they got a couple of chompers--around 6-8 months! :o) Cheerios and Zwieback cookies, otherwise known as "teething biscuits" have been recommended by pediatricians for many decades!

  • 8 months and we were advised to do that by Early Childhood Intervention. Amazing that they can handle it so soon. :)

  • i started with the kashi version of cheerios around 1 i think. i switched to cheerios later because there was less sugar.
now the little ones are two, and i re read the ingredients. we will not be buying cheerios anymore. crispix is better as far as ingredients, but probably would not be good for a little one :(

  • if you are worried about her choking on them, try gerber puffs first. They are like cheerios (but healthier) and they dissolve in the mouth, so if she isn't ready to chew, no worries.

  • I don't really like teething bisquits.. My dd broke on in half and nearly choked on it by shoving all of it in her mouth. Thankfully I'm not the type to leave a baby alone with such food and was there the minute she stuck it in.

  • My son was about 10 months old the first time he ate cheerios.

  • the gerber puffs are awsome and you can prob start them younger cuz there so soft and do kinda mely away quick, but i went with cheerios around 6 mo too.

  • Both are just sugar and overprcessed starch. better options are peas, halved or quartered blue berries, and other such soft fruits and veggies. Gerber puffs are just junk food . Your baby should have a good pincer grip by now. My 8 month old eats things and they don't need to melt. she doesn't even have any teeth. Watch your baby's tongue and chewing motions. Don't be afraid to give regular foods.
