anyone know if?

theres a way i can get power of attorney without hiring an attorney?

  • Well where I live in SW FL we have a place called "We the People" and they help with not contested legal matters. I'd say go online or go to the local Clerk of Courts in your county and they will point you in the correct direction.

  • Yes you can. Legal Zoom can help with that. There are also some programs you can buy if you just want a POA for financial items. You need to know if you need one that terminates or continues indefinitely. POA's for military last one year. If it is a medical POA, that must be filed with the Register of Deeds. My husband and I have one for my son and we prepared it ourselves and had it notarized with all three signatures. It was easy as pie.
