When you got married did you take your husband's last name?

Did you hyphenate it? Did you keep your maiden name?

  • Nope. I still have mine. But only because it's been too much hassle to get it changed. He doesn't know that it's coming though. I'm changing it as an anniversary gift.

  • I took his name. I am old fashioned in some ways. Plus I wanted to have the same last name as my son(who was almost 2 when we got married).

  • I changed mine with both and will change it with my future one. I never understood the reason to keep the maiden name or hyphenate it. The name does not make a person.

  • I thought about keeping my maiden name but hubby wasn't having it, I have to admit I loved signing my last name as his, sometimes I still think about it and feel honered to have his last name and to have had it for so long!

  • I was going to hyphenate it because I gave my son my maiden and his last name. Sure glad I did that bc we broke up before getting married and I really wanted my son to share a last name with me
