Advice for grandparents of a toddler?

Since my newborn is in NICU, her big sister has been staying with Grandma and Papa. Big sister is 2 years old ... any advice for her grandparents?

  • I really do not tell my mother what to do with my kids. I figure that my siblings and I are still alive, they must have done a decent job.

No seriously, I would just giving them a general schedule that your toddler follows. If they want more information, they will ask.

  • Tell them her schedule, her nap time and bedtime routines, things that are definietly off limits, and load her up with tons of love!

  • I agree with elizabr. Just try to keep her in a routine, but maybe do some fun new activities she will always associate with grandma and grandpa.

  • Do not freak out over the small stuff, nickjr is a god send and what goes in must come out.

  • I probably should have mentioned that she's already been with them and they are struggling with her (hence the question). I am so beyond the small stuff now that it isn't even funny...
