Is there a way to get rid of PCOS so I can have a baby?

I've been told since I was sixteen that I have a disorder called PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome and that it will keep me from ever having children. I've been hearing from several women in my life however, that they had it too and they were still able to conceive. Is there a way to get rid of the cysts?

  • I'm not sure of your situation. But I know many women develop PCOS due to weight problems, others for other reasons. There are some TTC with PCOS groups on here you should join. Also, you should ask your Dr about Metformin and Clomid. Many women with PCOS do not ovulate regularly, the Metformin and Clomid could help with that. Good luck, don't give up!
