Soooo...think if I got a tattoo on my belly over the stretch marks it would cover up the stretch marks? lol

I could get like an ocean scene done...and all the stretch marks could be turned into 3D ocean waves, LOL.

  • what happens is the ink ,for lack of a better word, warps on scar tissue, which is what they are. My advice is to seek out a good artist(not just your local 22 yr old with a tat gun), someone with alot of experience and good rep, and call them and explain what you want to do. they can answer much better and possibly give you better ideas .:).

  • good idea but really it would probably look really really bad... i have a tat on my belly right now - no stretch marks... (21 weeks). i didn't get any stretch marks at all with my daughter but that was nearly 20 years ago, don't think i'll be so lucky this time... i am really interested to see what the tat looks like in a few months...

  • If you'd like to then go for it. I think it is a creative idea. I saw a mastectomy scar that had been covered by a tattoo of a vine, it was artistic and comforting to the woman.
