What is the going rate for a tooth nowadays?

My son has his first loose tooth...what does the tooth fairy leave these days? I was thinking $1.

  • $1-5 depending on how small the bills are in the tooth fairy's wallet and whether or not she has time to run out.

  • It is one dollar here...but we get the golden dollar coins and use those. The kids think they got treasure bc it is gold. It is something special since it is different.

  • We give:

5 for the first lost tooth.
5 for the top two front teeth.
    2 for all others!

  • OMG! The ghetto tooth fairy must live at our house. We give 50 cents for all teeth. Haven't even thought about giving more for the last one. I hope my kids never find this out! LOL!

  • I give my kids $1 per tooth. Maybe it doesn't buy much, but I am teaching them to save all the little $1 tooth fairy and extra-chore dollars they get to purchase something they have their heart set on. My older daughter is saving up this summer for a pair of roller skates.

  • Ha.... I was very curious to see what the answers were, and now my question is: "When did the tooth fairy become so rich." HAHAHA..... I've heard of inflation, but dang!! When I was a kid I got a quarter... LOL... I'm only 25, so that wasn't that long ago!!

  • Anywhere from 1 dollar to 10 dollars. Some parents give their kids 15 or 20 for for first and last tooth.
