Not too cheesy Father-daughter song.

I need to find a song to dance with my dad to. We are not very close and I didn't grow up with him but I still want to have a dance together. Only problem, all the songs are to much about being his little girl and all the memories.

  • "I hope you Dance" by Lee Ann Womack. My dad picked that song for our father/daughter dance and it was great.

  • The Way You Look Tonight is on the Top 10 songs right now and I don't think that's too cheesy.

  • How about "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole & Natalie Cole would work - sung by a father and daughter and no talk of memories.

  • I was going to say "I loved her first" or "Butterfly Kisses" cuz I think those are awesome father/daughter songs but I think those are both about memories lol. Sorry.

  • It's sad, and doesn't fit exactly, but I have always loved "the greatest man I never knew" by Reba...

  • CS&N - Teach Your Children Well.  Mentions family and specifically father's help, but doesn't get too mushy.
