  • Suspense/Horror for sure. It can be mostly suspense, with a bit of horror thrown in, or vice versa. Occasionally, I will read a "drama" book and sometimes will even enjoy it. One I mentioned to you guys Jen a while back that I really liked was "Black and Blue" by Anna Quindlen. Normally not my kind of book, but I thought it was pretty great. Also, I dig "The Cider House Rules". I tried reading a Nicholas Sparks book once, and the sappy sweetness almost made me gag. The "suspense" was even suspenseful! I'm not saying I can't see why others might not like him, but it was definitely far too lightweight for my tastes.
I like non-fiction too--biographies and explorations of all things criminal, especially serial killers.

  • I like drama - or just fiction. LOL, I'm not sure what the books qualify under. My favorite books are "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" by Betty Smith and "She's Come Undone" by Wally Lamb. I guess I like chick lit - I like fiction and drama. Political books bore me too, Izsarejman. LOL. But some autobiographies are good. I am in the middle of 'Eat, Love, Pray' right now and I love it thus far.
