  • No. I didn't lose my mucus plug with my son, but did with my daughter. Every pregnancy is different and no you don't always lose your mucus plug.

  • Nope, you don't have to. I lost mine, but never went in to labor on my own.

  • Nope, I was losing little bits at a time, never had before with my previous pregnancies so this was new to me. I was still losing some of it the morning I was scheduled to be induced.

  • I've lost what I thought was my mucous plug (sometimes even streaked with blood) about 6 times so far this pregnancy (I'm 37 weeks today) and so far I've not gone into labor.

With my DD, I never lost my plug.

I don't think your plug coming or not coming isn't a true indicator of labor. IMO.

  • Technically yes you will at some point loose it, some may not notice it because it can be very watery or it will happen during labor which you don't pay a lot of attention to it, but in order to fully dilate yes your plug will come out in some form
