What is your favorite recipe source and why?

I used to use because it was really easy to use and they had a rating system.

Since they changed it I have gone to and they have a similar rating system. I usually look for 4 or 5 star recipes before I will try them. I have gotten some wonderful recipes from websites and they save a bunch of money too.

So, give it up! What's your source and why?

  • I found a huge pile of "Taste of Home" magazines at the magazine swap at the library. I'm talking HUGE! They were about five years old, at least. I've been cutting recipes out of those lately.

On line I don't have a favorite, and have used all the ones listed above.

  • hands down. I can search easily for recipes, sort them by rating (will not try anything under 4.5 stars, lol), I can also do an ingredients search. I save recipes to my recipe box, its free, I love it.

  • I also like food network, but I have a much harder time navigating that site....I like to look up recipes I saw on a show sometimes, but for generaly cooking its not my fav. and for whatever reason, the site is super slow....

  • You can do an advanced search and check off ingredients, low-fat, vegetarian, vegan, highest rated, course, style (American, Spanish, Italian etc.) Or you can simply check 'Chicken' and it will pull up hundreds of recipes. I love it b/c I can find gourmet if I need to, or I can search for simple family meals. Its great!
