What is your favorite recipe source and why?

I used to use meals.com because it was really easy to use and they had a rating system.

Since they changed it I have gone to recipezaar.com and they have a similar rating system. I usually look for 4 or 5 star recipes before I will try them. I have gotten some wonderful recipes from websites and they save a bunch of money too.

So, give it up! What's your source and why?

  • I found a huge pile of "Taste of Home" magazines at the magazine swap at the library. I'm talking HUGE! They were about five years old, at least. I've been cutting recipes out of those lately.

On line I don't have a favorite, and have used all the ones listed above.

  • allrecipes.com hands down. I can search easily for recipes, sort them by rating (will not try anything under 4.5 stars, lol), I can also do an ingredients search. I save recipes to my recipe box, its free, I love it.

  • epicurious.com You can do an advanced search and check off ingredients, low-fat, vegetarian, vegan, highest rated, course, style (American, Spanish, Italian etc.) Or you can simply check 'Chicken' and it will pull up hundreds of recipes. I love it b/c I can find gourmet if I need to, or I can search for simple family meals. Its great!
