What are the ingredients in your homemade fruit salad?

I was just wondering because I love fruit salad, and It seems like everyone's is different

  • Generally I buy whatever fruit is in season and on sale. Recent one was cantolope,strawberries,apples,grapes, and blueberries. I cut all the fruit up (even the grapes,not the blberries tho) into small pieces, I sprinkle it with a tablespoon or two of sugar and squeeze a whole fresh lemon all over it. Stir it up and put it into the fridge. After a couple hours, all the flavors start to blend..its even better the next morning. Mmmm...its a favorite here and I try to keep a fresh container of fruit salad in the fridge all the time for snacks. Sometimes I'll put a dallop of whipped cream on top for the kids. So good!

  • Pretty much whatever fruits I have on hand except for watermelon. They will all eat it alone..but not in fruit salad. I don't use cool whip or whipping cream. I use a poppyseed dressing.

  • I usually put in pineapple, strawberries, melon, cantaloupe, blueberries and mandarin oranges. Sometimes I add raspberries, blackberries, kiwi or some canned fruit.

  • the fruit salad i make doesnt include cool whip but just a jumble of fruits. i cut the watermelon a little less then half so its a bigger bowl...cut the watermelon in cubes, scoop it out, add grapes, kiwi, cantalope, strawberries and fresh pineapple

  • pears, clementines, pineapple, cherries, coconut, almonds. if it's a special treat I'll add a little cool whip, if it's an every day thing just the fruit and nuts.

  • I just use any fruit I have on hand. Strawberries, grapes, mango, blackberries, apples...

    I add a bit of sugar to keep the fruit from turning brown. I have also used a raspberry vinaigrette... SUPER YUM!

  • Apples, bananas, strawberries, pineapples, grapes, a nut/seed/raisin trail mix and lowfat vanilla yogurt. It is sooooo yummy!!
