  • Walking - 14 mos for my 1st three
    12 mos for my 4th

Talking - saying lots of words STARTING at 18 mos. Not much before that.
My 4th is only 17 mos so I'll let you know - he only says about 5 words now.

  • Every baby is different. My son started with his first word or two around 10 months I'd say. He really started conversations within the last few months - he was 3 in May. He was walking on his own at 15 months.

  • Mine didn't talk anything really meaningful until 18 months or so. Walking...well the first was 9 months the second was 9 1/2.

  • Talking: she said Mama on Xmas eve when I left the room. She was almost 6 months. Everytime I left for work mama mama! I was glad when 2 weeks later Ball was the new word!
Walking: 10 1/2 months although she fell every dozen steps. By 11 months she could run on flat surfaces but refused to walk on grass...she just wanted to eat it. My newphew didn't talk til he was 2 so they're all different

  • Oh and now at almost 4 she talks from the time she wakes up til she goes to bed at night...sometimes she talks in her sleep. If you miss the news cast in my house that's ok because Dharma will relay everything to you

  • I don't really remember much of their first sentences; words and baby gibberish which began to sound like words around 8 - 10 months. My first DD was walking at 9 months. My second was stubborn and didn't walk until she was 14 months.

  • Walking, as in first step: 10 months. Walking, as in actually walking well all the time: 12 months.

Talking, as in first word: 8-9 months. Talking, as in actually speaking coherently: like, 2 years old. ; )
