Would you move asap?

I won't have enough money to move for a couple of weeks. My neighbor (landlord) was arrested last week for child molestation and just got out of jail today. He lives 10 ft from us and he is not allowed to be around children so my kids can't go play outside. Do you think that is enough for him to let us out of our lease? Should move now?

  • I think it's more than enough to get out of your lease. Be prepared though you might need an attorney as he may try to not let you out. Many cities have "renters advocates" that can advise you pro bono.
    I'd move ASAP.

  • So he's out on bail? Or were the charges dropped? To me, that makes a difference.

  • He is out on bond. He told my DH that he is not allowed near young girls for right now. Thanks for the advice. I will start looking for a new place.
