What is the number of weeks when you are "in the clear" from having a miscarriage?

  • the general rule of thumb is after the first trimester, so 13 weeks. But you're never totally in the clear.

  • Technically after 23 weeks, after that it is a stillbirth.

  • The risk gos way down after the 12-13th week but anything can happen at anytime.. but then again you can walk outside and get hit by truck at anytime so if you make it to week 13 and everything looks good you are pretty much "in the clear"
