  • If you're married many insurance plans, including HMOs will cover 3 IVF cycles with your spouse's sperm and your egg. There is no concession for donorship. They require 3 IUIs first (they cost $1250-$1550) If you need insurance info I can refer you to my guy.
    Without insurance, I believe it's between $10K and $20K depending on drugs, doctor's appointments, etc.

  • When we tried it in 1999, our out of pocket cost was about $10,000. Our insurance only covered things like sonograms, surgeries, and x-rays. We had to pay for everything else, including the really expensive meds. Last time I checked, only a few states required insurance companies to offer coverage for fertility treatments.
