when did you switch over from weeks to months (for baby's age)?

i am curious. i was talking to someone (ok it was awhile ago lmao but i am still thinking about it) and they said their baby was 17 weeks old. i was really shocked lol. i always switched over from weeks to months by 2 months old. i had to think long and hard to figure out how old her kid was lmao. what about you? when did you switch??

  • With my first, it was when I forgot how many weeks he was (months are easier to count, lol). With my second, I never bothered with weeks once she hit one month.

  • I think when she got to the mid teens, 15-16 weeks. Somewhere around there.

  • I think it was around 3 months for both of my kids. I knew a lady who still counted their kids in weeks until they were a year old!

  • I counted in weeks until about 3 or 4 months.

I don't really think it matters.

  • I used weeks up to a month. Then it was month and a half, two, two and a half, etc. Months up to 18 (kind of, sometimes I just said a year and a half). A chick I know (not a friend, more of an acquantence I guess) only has 1, and she used weeks, months, AND "months" - "months" based on 4 weeks per month, months based on actual months. She's seriously tell you all 3 when you asked how old her kid was - all the way up to a year! After that we didn't see her much, maybe once a year, lol! Gah she was so annoying about that!
