Just deleted a question...

I just deleted a question I asked months ago that never got any responses and lost 5 points for it? Anyone care to explain the logic in deducting points for "cleaning up" old unanswered questions? Cuz I think it's REALLY stupid.

  • Well, I'm sorry it happened, but today is a new day and you can easily earn those 5 points back. It's not like we get special prizes for leveling up, or do we?

  • That is just lame! Could you ask a new question with a link to your old question asking for someone to answer it. You could give the first answer the points or something?

  • Good idea with the link in a new question I guess... and trust me, I don't really care about the points... I just thought it was dumb and it doesn't make any sense to me!

So know one knows WHY they do that?
