What do you do when the power goes out at night and your child is scared of the dark?

I'm afraid to use candles and then go back to sleep.

  • Alexis, there the flame-less candles by Glad or they have some at target their more designer looking...but in the mean time Kristine316, just use a flashlight or a candle. Cuddle close to her so she knows mama's there and she gonna be alright.

  • Depending on her age I would let her sleep in my bed but other than that I would buy/give her a flashlight.

  • The few times in their lives we have lost power at night or for the night we all slept in the same bed!! When we lost power a few years back for a few days in a row due to a storm we pulled the King mattress into the living room against the couch and Hubs slept on the couch and me and the boys slept on the bed. It turned into a big slumber party LOL
