Are you supposed to add a degree to taking a temperature orally??

I have 3 diff types of thermometers.. the axiliary one... under armpit one and a pacifier type one... well the armpit and axiliary ones are lost lol

so i just used the pacifer one which was hard because my dd has nEVER taken a paci and being 17 months she thinks its weird.. anyway

i got her to do it... do i have to add 1 degree when its done orally? i forget
