Multiple Ant bites!

My 2 yr old has 30 ant bites, does this constitute a dr visit?

  • I would say it constitutes a phone call to the doctor. I would listen to their advice and follow it. If the doctor feels your child needs to be seen then I would go in. With kids I always feel better safe than sorry.

  • My DD had literally over 100 on her lags, butt and feet last summer at 18 months. I call the doctor and was told to give her tylenol for inflammation and benedryl for the itching. They said to keep the washed in a mild soap and watch for infection with fever. They may have different advice. I would at least call.

  • My son got his first 3 ant bites when he was 2. His feet swelled up huge and were red and warm. The doctor told me to give him a little liquid Benedryl and rub on a little benedryl cream. LOL He looked at me like I was crazy for bringing him in. LOL
