  • The cleaning, no, the kids, yes. Usually he comes home and plays with the kids while I finish dinner. After dinner he gets his shower. After that he plays with the kids pretty much until their bedtime. Sometimes I join in or I get housework done with no one under foot. If dh has had a rough, stressful day (which there is a couple within a month time frame) he lets me know that he just doesn't have patience that night and after his shower goes for a motorcycle ride or plays rock band.

  • Yes - he always asks me when he gets home whether I want him to finish up supper or entertain the kids. After supper, right now he's working on finishing off our 3rd floor so I don't get as much help because he's busy but he's working on stuff that will benefit us both so I don't mind. Before he started on that he would also help me clean up the dishes and the living room.

  • Sometimes. I try to have the housework done, but he does help me with our son...even though my son wants me constantly so his attempts don't always work. :)

  • My bf used to refuse to bc he said that was all part of being a woman. That was the topic of alot of our arguments, but since he has been home and hurt he sees how much (I) have to do.... He babysits now, helps clean up, and etc. He does not do a A1 cleaning job but he helps out.. My biggest thing is dishes.. I hate them!!!!

  • Yes, he does. He has certain things that he always does: trash, vacuuming, carrying laundry up and down the stairs, yard work. He also jumps in and does things to help me out like loading the dishwasher. I am pregnant right now and we homeschool, so we're very busy and we all work hard around the house.

  • Mine only does it if I tell him I have had a BAD day, and even then it's only with the kids that I get help with. I do all the cooking, cleaning, laundry, dishes, yard work, and any minor vechicle maintence plus take care of our rabbitry. My day begins at 7am and doesn't end til usually after midnight!!! By then I'm wore out with a SEVERE headache and throbbing eyes!! For those of you who get help with more than the kids, kiss the ground your man walks on, they are far and few between!!!!

  • mine will pick up when he gets home.
he will clear the table and load the dish washer, but he is like a child making a 5 minute job last 30 minutes!!!
but, he hasn't always been so helpful!!!
even now he only helps because we just had another baby.
he did nothing until i was pregnant with twins : )
